In its last World Health Report on health systems, Singapore was ranked top in Asia and sixth globally. Singapore's public healthcare institutions have been broadly grouped into two clusters - the National Healthcare Group (NHG) and the Singapore Health Services (SingHealth). Together, NHG and SingHealth provide a complete spectrum of healthcare services from primary healthcare to secondary and tertiary care, and they run nine Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals and six specialty centres, accounting for a third of all JCI-accredited facilities in Asia.
