Singapore's reputation of having a well-established healthcare infrastructure with an excellent reputation for quality medicine has been recognised and consistently ranked by the World Health Organisation to be among the world's best. In its last World Health Report on health systems, Singapore was ranked top in Asia and sixth globally. Singapore's public healthcare institutions have been broadly grouped into two clusters - the National Healthcare Group (NHG) and the Singapore Health Services (SingHealth). Together, NHG and SingHealth provide a complete spectrum of healthcare services from primary healthcare to secondary and tertiary care, and they run nine Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals and six specialty centres, accounting for a third of all JCI-accredited facilities in Asia. |
The growing confluence of the pharamaceutical, biomedical sciences sectors and research activities has placed Singapore's healthcare sector at the cusp of a very exciting transformational phase where the nexus between work at the laboratory bench and bedside is becoming closer due to the increasing number of translational clinical research inititiatives. |
We invite you to join us in setting new global benchmarks as we seek to further enhance our healthcare infrastructure and the quality of the our healthcare delivery services in line with our ambitions to be become a global centre for advance medical care, translational research and education.
